Villard-Reculas is a charming and authentic mountain village in the Oisans region, a peaceful and natural area of the French Alps, located 45 km from Grenoble. This picturesque village is situated on the south-facing slope at an altitude of 1550 meters, in the middle of the “Les Grandes Rousses” mountain range. The ski area “Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski” ranges from 1200 to 3330 meters in altitude.

In Villard-Reculas, you’ll find everything you need for a successful holiday: a small supermarket, a sports shop (ski rental), ski school, tourist information office, bar, restaurant, and a slope-side restaurant (on the alpine pastures in summer).

It is easily accessible by car via the motorway to Grenoble, then by well-maintained departmental roads to Villard-Reculas (cleared of snow in winter).

By plane, you can fly into Geneva (EasyJet is the cheapest and offers the most options), Lyon (KLM / Air France, EasyJet, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa), and in winter also to Grenoble (Ryanair, Transavia). There are good direct bus connections from the airports to Grenoble and Alpe d’Huez (get off at Huez or Allemont-Rochetaillée).
TGV high-speed trains go to Grenoble.

Bus connections are available to Allemont, Bourg d’Oisans, and Alpe d’Huez.

Villard-Reculas is the perfect winter or summer holiday destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway in a stunning natural setting.
